Okay... who loves it? Who hates it? Who's indifferent about it?
The boys and I love to decorate the yard with jack o'lantern leaf bags, a little cemetary and carved pumpkins. We also have a spider that moves and lights up, but my old ass house doesn't have electric outlets on the outside of the house. Don't know what I am going to do with it this year.
Tell us what you do for Halloween! I would also love to post pictures of decor that you put up inside or outside! We might have a contest if people want to post. ;)

I personally don't care much for halloween. I don't like dressing in costume - and really didn't like as a kid.
We do have a Halloween party each year and let the kids have friends over and such. This year's party is a pirate party.
I went off halloween last year, when a dear old lady friend got a brick through her window.

It isn't a big deal either way. I always decorate inside the house, but not outside. We live rural, in an area with no sidewalks or streetlights. NOONE TorT's around our home. We usually go to one of the church sponsored trunk or treats or a party at a friend's house.

Oh no! That is horrible! It is a shame when kids do stuff like that.
It was because she offered them fruit instead of sweets. She, God rest her soul, is no longer with us now... lovely lady though.

:OMG
I found this huge deal of little play-doh tubs, to use for Halloween. I thought that was great! If we are home to pass out stuff, I might go buy it. But we are ususally out with the boys.
I think the weekend before, we are house-sitting for my parents. So, who knows what we will do over the weekend. It would be fun, I think, to pass out stuff at the door for a change of pace! ;)

WE LOVE HALLOWEEN!! our old neighborhood all participated and everyone decorated and some wore costumes. Everyone sat on their driveway so know one went to anyones door. It was like a giant block party!:banana:banana:banana

No candy, no TOT, no nothing here LOL Halloween is not big in Aus - it's not even a "holiday"
I like it because:
1- I get to eat some chocolate too. :snicker
2- It's fun to see the different costumes, even though I don't dress up myself.
3- Haunted houses are kind of fun.
4- It's my cousin's birthday, and a week before mine. :snicker

Oh, haunted houses - I love them. It's the only part of Halloween that I really really like. Traci doesn't like them but has gone with me a couple times. Maybe we will go this year.

I like it just fro dressing up my kids. I am obsessive about it. I am kinda anal about it too. We allow no "evil" costumes, and until this year I always made the kids dress as an animal of some sort. Well, DS will me a monkey this year, and DD will be gothic cheerleader. Can;t win 'em all I guess.
My ex-h is against halloween, thinks it is satanic, so he doesn't allow the two older boys to participate. It sucks, poor fellows.

I always let the boys be whatever they want, Maggie too, when she lived with me. She was a vampire for 2 years, then she was "Spiderella" and then a vampire again. One year, she went as a convict with a ball and chain on her ankel! And one year she was a disco diva with a big purple afro. It was great. I loved that costume! Eli has been a tiger, winnie the pooh (maggie was that too), Hulk, a Ninja Turtle and this year he and K are going to be Jedi Knights (and I am making their costumes :doh)
I was always a monster or something halloween-ish. I remember being about 4 and insisting on being a devil. My mom got me a red leotard and my dad made me a tail with a point (like and arrow) on the end and put a piece of wire in it so it would stand out and not just hang (he said I was insistant upon it not just hanging down!). I cannot remember a year when I didn't make my own costume, really. When I was 11, I made a paper mache Frankenstein head, with real bolts on the sides of the neck. It was cool.
I was also a box of Capt'n Crunch Peanut Butter one year. God knows where I got that idea?! But it is what I HAD to be and my dad got a big box and cut holes in it for my head to go through the top and my arms on the sides and we covered it in orange cardboard and drew the cereal box on it and colored it in with markers. Somewhere I have a pic. It was pretty cool.

I would love to see that Pic! you have to find it and post it!!! My kids are Pirates this year. Marissa thought it would be fun if they dressed in a theme. Its only her and Ryan tho, Trying to convince DJ he is never to old to do halloween. So Jim and I are thinking of being Pirates too!:naughty
